Today's Special

Anyone remember the show "Today's Special"? I woke up this morning with the very last part of the theme song in my head.... I used to watch it all the time. GOod show... at least I used to think it was ^_^.

So, after going to 3 centers when I thought I would only go to two, and then calling another that only has 7 total 5 year olds, (I still need 3 pairs of 5 year olds, 1 male and 2 female and I've been getting 30% return of concent forms)but deciding to try it anyway, and calling a fifth, who only had 2, 5-year-olds of different sexes (so I passed) I called a sixth and they have some 5 year olds (they are a huge center that no one told me about)...So... hopefully between the two new centers I can get the three 5-year old pairs....the problem is that since I am trying to get a good sample, I am doing 3, 4, and 5's at ever center I go to so that I have a representation of each age at each center. So it will take forever when all I need is three pairs!!!! Stay tuned....

Mid night bike ride

Saturday night Chris and I aired up our tires and headed off to campus. Campus is very pretty at night. It was great fun. Then we went to Day light donuts (see next posts)

Chris and I watched Bug and Arili today. Here, Chris is playing a fisher-price online game with Bug.

Daylight donuts part 2

Then all of the sudden, they got VERY crowded. Good location for them!

So then we biked on over to Daylight Donuts. We got there just as they had the very first tray of donuts out. I was the first person to ever order hot tea there. They were yummy! Chris got a sasage roll. You'll have to ask him if they are good. It was us and one other guy at first. What a fun night!

Today we went to So Long Saloon before heading out to see Oceans 13. WHile killing time in betweens, we wandered around aggoeville and found that daylight donuts is now open. They have very fun hours...something like 5 a.m.-12 most days and 1am-12pm on Sundays.

So three days ago I found out that I am for sure moving to Sally's room (the toddler room) in the fall.

No more babies :(

But I'll get to play with cooler toys ^_^

Yeah, I have mixed feelings about it.


In thesis news, I am in the process of trying to contact my 4th center. I only needed 24 pairs! You'd think I could have gotten it after giving out nearly 200 consent forms (in the first 2 centers).... arg!

I was thinking of starting a mustache blog. But that would be absurd. So I'll just post them on this blog...less absurd, don't you think? But it is really hard to secretly take pictures of people's mustaches.... and i don't wnt to ask them...that would just be weird.

Cell phone picture posting and other things

I used to be able to post pictures from my phone. Then the ability just stopped. I would send them and never get a confirmation e-mail. Why? No clue (and yes, I had updated my account and re-did all that). So Chris re-did the whole account for me. It worked once....and now it seems to not work again. Maybe the picture will show up soon. It is of tea and lemon bread at Radina's.

I have started data collecting at the third location. I was only planning to do two, but I ended up being short on pairs. I feel like I always have things I have to do (I basically do). I have to set up the coding process with my coder....I have never done that before....I don't know how. Not to mention I don't have time to do it.... Sigh.... So I am at Radina's before I go to work... I feel like I should be revising my coding sheet (because I should), but I forced myself to blog instead.

Just in case you wanted to know.

(also, I saw Maria when I was crossing the road to get here. It took me a LONG time to realise it was her!!!)
